What is Improv?

Improvisational theatre is a form of theatre in which the actors use improvisational acting techniques to perform spontaneously. Actors typically use audience suggestions to guide the performance as they create dialogue, setting, and plot extemporaneously. Improvisational theatre performances tend to be comedic, although some forms are not necessarily intended to be comedic.

What is this workshop all about?

In this workshop, you will learn what improvisation is, how to prepare your mind and body for a scene, and the basics of improvisational theatre - how to think quickly and create free flowing theatrical scenes.

About the teacher:

Jeff Scattini has been doing improv for more than 10 years now, both with companies and as a street performer in San Francisco and London. He has taught improvisation with Shadow Mask and has had a long association with improvisational theatre.
