1. General Assembly (held on April 3, 2001)
Unfortunately, the General Assembly (chaired by Simone Ingold) was not well attended: there were only 4 non-members present. All members have been re-elected, Regula Renggli has been elected as new member. Sripriya reported on the finances of the last projects, including the One-act-plays, Angels in America, April in Paris: all the plays concluded almost level or plus. The Medieval Recycle Project has not been closed yet; Anita Brumann is taking care of it.
Finally, the GA has decided on the definitive name of our Drama Group: INSTINCTIVE ACTS
2. Project Proposals
a) Photo Exhibition (Elisabeth Schindler)
Elisabeth will hand in a formal proposal as soon as possible. A Committee will be set up by the end of this term; the actual selection of the photos (incl. poetical text) will take place during the summer break. In addition to the Vernissage and the Apéro, the AC would be willing to contribute also to the actual cost of the exhibition, such as enlargement and framing.
The project has not been approved yet, the AC will decide on the basis of an estimate of the cost.
b) Ordinary People
The intention is to spend max. Fr. 500.- on publicity. It is up to the directors to decide whether they want to invest additional energy into the Outreach Programme; it does not affect the AC. The AC acknowledges that the topic of the play is especially suited for teenagers and approves it. The Venue is very likely to be the Tojo of the Reithalle: it is large and cheap (Fr. 600.- all incl.). Although some people might still be scared off, the Reithalle has now become an official cultural center. It should be supported by cultural events such as those sponsored by the AC.
3. Mailing List
A guideline is needed on how to use the mailing list. Such a list should be presented to the AC, and it should then be in the hands of the AC. At the moment there are approx. 120 email-addresses including students, staff members, ex-staff members, friends of the ED; all this should be categorized.
The set-up of an AC web page has been suggested; there is still enough space on the server of the official ED web page. Anyone interested in the AC activities could subscribe directly by sending an email. Anything that needs updating should be left out. Toby has been designated administrator of the mailing list.
4. Organization
From this date on, the AC will have Agenda and Minutes sent to its members by email. One person is needed who should be in charge of checking the pidgeon-hole regularly, advertising the GA, organizing the meetings, setting the agenda, keeping the minutes. These tasks have been entrusted to our new secretary Regula Renggli.
Sripriya is preparing some check list for projects. Anyone who will have their project approved by the AC, will receive the check list as a help.
5. AOB
The Photo Exhibition is on at present in the ED. The Vernissage took place at the end March. The whole expense cost approx. Fr. 250.-
